Experience arising from the ecstatic union with the entire environment.

Expansion into the deeper sensorial capacity to tune in into the self-perpetuating complexity of EXPERIENTIAL SYNTHESIS.

I spend time on land to attune my senses. Sensual exteriority and interiority merge. I become the vehicle for landscape, its elemental matrix of nature. Ritual begins to arise spontaneously. Eventually I dwell in a territory where ritual is dissolved and only gestures remain.

This is where the pre-intentional bodily potency to be otherwise is disclosed, expressed in its appearing. The way of unfolding which is inherent in all things.  The ultimate non-egoic ‘Husserlian’ hyletic sphere of sensation.

Exploring the way country and person are bound as body in Warlpiri cosmology, M. Jackson (1996) writes: ‘what is distinctive about Warlpiri anthropomorphism is that the human body and the body of the earth are metaphorically fused in terms of internal, visceral physiology and not just in terms of external anatomy. Thus a sacred site is a womb, the odour of a person’s sweat may evoke the aromatic sap of a particular species of tree, and a deposit of white clay may be said to be semen of Dreaming ancestor’.

In phenomenological tradition, the body occupies a spacio-temporal location, it constitutes the meaning and achieves our engagement with otherness. It acts as a unified sensory field that constitutes the world. It is crucial in understanding the immediate experience of the life-world. (Taipale, 2014)
